My belly dance shows

I don't go out of my way to find gigs, I am usually invited by friends( belly dancers ).

Why? well because, I am a mom a real busy lady.  You can say, I am too ambitious.  I want to be a good mom and learn so many things including photography, Salsa and , I want to become a terrific Tangera.  For example, I just got home from "The Nacional" a cool place in Manhattan. There, I was dancing Tango.   Oh, yes, I am getting good at it.  In fact, I skipped the beginner lesson and the intermediate lesson was soooooooo boring. I think is time for private coaching. Yes, of course, I want to perform Tango with a nice partner. Perhaps, next year ,I will be ready or maybe on my birthday, next June 2008. Last June, 2007, I had a birthday party at the Lafayette Grill and bar.  I danced Tango first and later ,I did my belly dance show. It was an unforgettable experience. Guess what? my mother and daughter were there. My mother had tears in her eyes , after my Tango performance. She was so impress. But, I am telling you, I was not ready . It was just improvisation.  I know I can dance better. Nevertheless, it was a nice birthday party.  Getting back to me belly dancing, I will be dancing this Saturday at Banballotto a cool place in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and, you are all invited.

My friend Yasmine, sent me this nice note.

First of all, Magdalena, I would like to wish you a great New Year and every happiness in 2007! I hope the year brings you much more joy than what you always bring for others I was very touched by Magdalena's new year story. She is lucky because she is such a kind girl and always willing to help others - specially other belly dancers. she has been such a force behind LG and help boost the career of many belly dancers. She has become a very important and integral part of the belly dancer community. I wish she got more recognition for ALL she has done. In addition, I enjoy her
work. She has a knack for capturing the best of a belly dancer as can be seen on her site. Magdalena is a very kind soul. I love & adore her as many others. Given all that I found --??-------s comments about Magdalena, crude, selfish and totally uncalled for. It is a shame that she had to resort
to low ball tactics. Such unprofessional approach should not be allowed on this site which, as many have pointed out, is a national & indeed international site. When my friends overseas want to invite
belly dancers for major occasions, I refer them to this site. Please let us keep it clean!
Magdalena, I know you well & my request is for you to rise above other people and keep your cool. You are very valuable to us all! love,
jasmine
